Mission

CONNECTING YOUR PRACTICE TO THE FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE RESOURCES YOU NEED

Our mission is to support local members of the medical and allied health community committed to practicing the functional paradigm.  We provide evidence-based education in functional medicine concepts and with proven leaders in the movement.  We offer community involvement that can be utilized clinically at local level as well as provide a grass-roots organization to promote the goals and membership of the Institute for Functional Medicine.

We aim to accomplish this by building integrity and credibility through our local educational initiatives in conjunction with the Institute for Functional Medicine and provide local access to accredited trainings based on high educational standards and a rigorous code of ethics.

LOCAL EXPERTS AND RESEARCH

Functional Medicine Association of North Texas was founded in 2010 and relies on financial support through professional, vendor and student annual membership dues, event fees and vendor supported endorsements and sponsorships from organizations dedicated to the functional medicine principles of health and education.  All proceeds go event costs, legal and corporate filings and management of the professional organization. Your financial support helps improve programs and services.

HERE TO SUPPORT YOUR GROWTH

As the practice of nutritional interventions and functional medicine concepts gain wider acceptance, the local Functional Medicine Association of North Texas is committed to increasing its visibility and supporting the presence of qualified Integrative and Functional Medicine Professionals in as many jurisdictions as possible. The Functional Medicine Association of North Texas keeps current with state legislative initiatives and has opportunities for local involvement with education, recruiting and political legislative activities and encourages members to get involved whenever there is a need.

LOCAL MEETINGS

Local educational seminars are offered four times a year on Saturdays (one in each quarter) and 2-3 evening events. We strive to attract educators and thought leaders of functional medicine, medical research and legal specialist in the management and liability of practicing healthcare in today’s legal and economic climate. Our events offer relevant applicable trainings as well as social opportunities before and after speakers to mix and mingle.

Membership gives health care professionals a chance to connect and support and to learn from like-minded professionals and your clinical peers. Members also benefit from the social aspects by building referral networks and programs with each other to enrich their personal practices. Additional opportunities to register for and gain information about other Functional Medicine events will be available through the organization and at events as a service to our members.

CHANGING HEALTHCARE
